Everett Wayne “Whitey” See Jr., 63, of Singers Glen, passed away on March 25, 2026 at home surrounded by family and friends. Leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
Whitey was known throughout the community as a natural salesman and people person, having retired from Truck Enterprise. More than anything, he was known for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and his ability to make any moment more fun just by being there. He never met a stranger—only friends he hadn’t made yet.
He truly loved life’s simple pleasures: relaxing at Smith Mountain Lake, trips to the beach, good music, great food, and firing up the grill. Whether he was sharing a meal, telling stories, or just enjoying time with friends and family, Whitey made every gathering feel special. He had a way of bringing people together and making sure everyone was having a good time.
He was known as “Buster“ to his family, and is survived by son, Bradek See, Fiancée Kristin Knight and their daughter expected in May, of Bergton, Va, and daughter, Mattea See and Spouse Kasey Simmers of Singers Glen; his companion, Kris Grandle of Singers Glen; his sister, Deborah Driver and her husband Michael Driver of Broadway, Va; his nephew, Travis Driver and wife Meagan Driver of Broadway, Va, along with their children, Savannah and Chase. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Sadie, who was always by his side. Numerous Cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Wayne See Sr., and his mother, Luella Dellinger See.
A family visitation will be held at McMullen Funeral Home on Sunday, March 29, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
