Lula C. Morris, 94

            Lula Crawford Morris, 94, a resident of Fulks Run, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Avante Nursing Home.

            Mrs. Morris was born on August 31, 1917 in Hopkins Gap and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Millie Reedy Crawford.  She was retired from Swift and Company and spent many years as a homemaker.  She was a member of Gospel Hill Mennonite Church.

            On April 19, 1933, married Gilbert Morris who preceded her in death on March 27, 1987.

            Surviving are six children, John (Tucker) Morris and wife Ruth, Reinetta Boyd and husband Bob, Fern Crawford Wease and husband Leroy, Emory Morris and wife Janice all of Fulks Run, Spencer (Allen) Morris and wife Delyn of Harrisonburg, Arbutus Mongold and husband Buddy of Fulks Run; a brother, Tiny Ott Crawford and wife Cindy of Fulks Run; twenty five grandchildren; forty nine great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

            Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by two daughters, Margaret Shoemaker, Shirley Siever, a foster son, Jerry Williams, three brothers, one sister, and five grandchildren.

            Pastors J. Mark Frederick and Isaac Risser will conduct a funeral service on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gospel Hill Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

            The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home, Harrisonburg.
