Ethel M. Moyers, 75

            Ethel Marie Showalter Moyers, 75 died January 8, 2012, died Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

            Mrs. Moyers was born November 3, 1936 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late William Earl and Elma Kingree Showalter.  She worked for Advance Auto as a bookkeeper for many years and later for Rocco until her retirement.  She was a member of the Mount Clinton United Methodist Church.

            On August 31, 1956, she married Ralph E. Moyers who preceded her in death June 14, 2004.

            Surviving are two daughters, Sue Riggleman and husband Dennis, Rawley Springs;  Patricia Bowman and husband Charles, McGaheysville; three brothers, Paul F. Showalter, Mt. Clinton; William E. Showalter Jr., Harrisonburg; Sammy Showalter, Mt. Crawford;  one sister, Mary Lee Cupp, Port Republic; four grandchildren, Jessie Riggleman, Coty Riggleman, Adam Bowman, and Willie Bowman.

            Reverend Harold Webster Jr. will conduct a funeral service Wednesday afternoon January 11, 2012  at 2p.m. at the Mount Clinton United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at the Singers Glen Cemetery.

            The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7p.m. until 8p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home, Harrisonburg.
