Virgil Aaron Ours, Jr, 65, Harrisonburg died December 16, 2011 at his home.

 Mr. Ours was born on October 7, 1946, in Cumberland, Maryland and was the son of Virgil A. Ours, Rio, West Virginia and the late Mary Catherine Heyer Ours.  He graduated from Wardensville High School in 1964 and worked for Dunham-Bush from 1967 until its closing in 2007.  He was currently employed for Atlantic Fabrication.  Mr. Ours was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the Cornerstone Church at Broadway.

            On March 28, 1967, he married the former Geraldine Crawford who survives.

            Surviving in addition to his wife and father are two children, Randy Aaron Ours and April Lynna Ours both of Harrisonburg; one brother, Gordon Ours, Moorefield; four grandchildren, Sidney Lynna Shoemaker, Blake Michael Shoemaker, Isabelle Jennifer Ours, and Gwendolyn Aaron Ours; one great grandchild, Aspenn Jae Veney.

            Rev. Samuel Wenger will conduct a funeral service Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 2p.m. at the Cornerstone Church in Broadway.  Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

            The family will receive friends Monday evening from seven until eight at the McMullen Funeral Home, Harrisonburg.
